When it comes to clothing, there is often a debate about whether there is a difference between
gay design and straight design. Some believe that the "queer eye," as it were, is simply better suited to selecting and fine-tuning style, while the straight sensibilities are more narrow and stuck in a view of style dictated by patriarchal society. In reality, fine fashion can be created by anyone with the abilities to do so, whether s/he is gay, lesbian, straight, or otherwise. Famous designers like Roberto Cavalli, Ralph Lauren, Oleg Cassini, and Christian Lacroix have proved that straight men can jump start fashion. What's most important isn't one's sexual preference, but the possession of vision and talent.
